Shannon O’Toole, General Counsel
Shannon is an experienced leasing attorney whose career has ranged from litigation partner with a national practice at an international law firm to small business owner with clients from across the United States as well as Ireland, Australia, and India, to corporate counsel for a large leasing company. She has appeared in state and federal trial and appellate courts and at administrative agencies throughout the United States. She has played a significant role in resolving multiparty, complex leasing and related issues. Shannon’s experience representing businesses and financial institutions in all phases of financing and leasing provides Honour Capital with authoritative legal guidance.
Shannon has served on the boards of numerous nonprofits and has been active on her inner-city neighborhood council. Throughout her career, she has served as a volunteer attorney, handling primarily tax matters for low-income clients of Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services. Shannon volunteers at Maxfield Elementary School in St. Paul, and her interest in education at all levels includes serving on the managing board for a digital ed-tech publisher introducing a model for free college textbooks. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School where she also taught legal writing, Shannon holds a bachelor’s degree in political economy from Colorado College. Gardening, travel, dogs, whitewater canoeing, and maintaining an historic home occupy her free time.
